From Photography to Tattoo Supplies: How Pure Tattoo Supplies Was Born

For over a decade, I ran my own photography company, capturing some of life’s most meaningful moments — weddings, engagements, and special events. I also had a deep love for travel photography. I’d visit places like India, Cuba, and Peru, photographing incredible landscapes and people. Back home in New York City, I’d host pop-up events to showcase and sell my work.
Then, when COVID hit, everything changed. Like many creatives, my business came to a halt almost overnight. I wasn’t sure what would come next — until a mutual friend introduced me to a guy named Sean.
Sean reached out and asked if I’d be interested in working as a sales representative for FYT Supplies. With my years of experience running a business and working in sales, it felt like an exciting new challenge. Before long, I met Ching, the main owner who oversees FYT’s U.S. market. We began working together in Brooklyn, NY, where I’d pick up samples from the warehouse and visit tattoo shops to introduce the brand.

While visiting shops, I noticed something interesting — most artists wanted to purchase supplies right there on the spot. That’s when a light bulb went off. I approached Sean, Ching, and Austin with an idea: what if we created a mobile van route, delivering supplies directly to artists?
So the four of us got to work — building out the van, adding shelving, and hitting the road. Austin and I would go from shop to shop, in every borough, through rain, snow, and heat, building relationships and growing the FYT brand one handshake at a time.
For the next six years, I traveled across the U.S. and even overseas, meeting incredible artists and witnessing firsthand how this industry thrives on connection and trust. Along the way, I realized that while the groundwork on the streets was strong, we needed to elevate our online presence.
With my background in photography and marketing, I stepped in to take over FYT’s social media and brand awareness. I created images, videos, and campaigns that showcased the artistry of the tattoo world — collaborating with talented artists from all over the globe. Over time, I transitioned from a sales rep to the Sales and Marketing Director, helping guide the brand’s direction and visibility.
But after years of growth and hard work, I began to feel it was time for a new chapter — something where I could fully shape my own vision without limits. When I shared this with the team, they gave me their full support and wished me the best on my next adventure.
And that’s how Pure Tattoo Supplies was born.
Pure is a reflection of everything I’ve learned — the value of genuine relationships, the importance of quality, and the belief that artists deserve supplies they can trust. This company isn’t just a business; it’s a community, built from experience, passion, and a love for the craft.
Thank you for being part of this journey. This is just the beginning.
Stay true. Stay pure.
